The story begins with the protagonist, Sebastian Farrar, a 32 year old entrepreneur. He is vacationing on his yacht in Southern California when his father, a Marin County Superior Court Judge, calls him on the telephone to ask him to come home to Santa Rosa because he needs to discuss with him some urgent business. Mere days later his father is murdered. Sebastian returns to Sonoma County within hours of learning of his father's demise. He vows to find who is responsible no matter the cost. The story is very well written, maintaining suspense throughout the story. And the graphic descriptions of the love and sex will make you want to jump in and risk your life too.

Sad But True is Billy Bond's debut novel. A Santa Rosa, California native, Mr.Bond has worked in advertising and marketing but is now concentrating on a writing career. The protagonist from Sad But True, Sebastian Farrar, will be in a continuing series.
