About the Book

Phil Jones, a special investigator for the FBI, is part of a new task force formed after the 9-11 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. As he tries to make the best of his recent transfer to a soul-destroying environment, he must endure a toxic boss with no real talent for doing anything well.

On the other side of the world in central Africa, expat supervisor Bill Parker and his day shift foreman have just pulled a strange silver ball from the company’s crushing machine. Parker has no idea that the ball he takes home and leaves in an ashtray beside his bed is a two-million-year-old artifact that has the potential to change the world forever. Meanwhile, back in America, Agent Jones has just made his own discovery—a one-hundred-year-old secret is hidden within the country’s vast financial system, propelling Jones on a paper chase that will eventually lead him into the darkest regions of Africa.

Both men are drawn together in a momentous struggle between good and evil. They are forced to confront the evil head on or half the civilized world will be distroyed.

About the Author

Harry Peterson was born northeast of Yorkshire at the end of World War II. After seeking an education in technical engineering, he left England for a new adventure, spending the next thirty-five years as an expatriate in Africa. This is his first novel.
