About the Book

Books are usually written with a message, an aim for the readers to appreciate and understand, to be acquainted with the writer’s point of vision, in fundamentally viewing things. Arabian Events mainly talks about the Gulf’s events in particular, listing Arab’s experiences, experiences you’d personally would find irresistible to explore. The book contains within its valuable pages, facts I’ve personally been through and those I’ve heard and shared with relatives and friends of mine.

The book will be quite boring if only thoughts, events were inscribed on the pages, but what makes this book special is the fact that it includes and embraces moral lessons for you to carry along the way. Lessons that in my point of view, are the lessons we bump into this journey of life, we all posses.

Arabian Events is an open door, an access to the Arab world, a world foreigners from around the world, well mainly the uneducated would underestimate and resist Arab’s actual existence. Arabs, or should I say the Muslims are quite knowledgeable and familiar with the Christian’s religion more than the Christian are of Muslims. People still and will remain asking questions similar to, ‘Why do Muslims wear a scarf around their head?’, ‘What are they so ‘holy’ about?’ ‘God, they are so complicated?’, ‘How come a man has the right to have four wives and the poor woman gets only one?’…it goes on forever. These questions all have answers, not to mention reasonable answers that Muslims are 100% content about and agree upon. This book is what I personally claim to be a miracle...

About the Author

Hello, I’m Haya Tariq Al-Naimi and I’m the author and illustrator of the book entitled ‘Arabian Events’, the book of experiences and enriching with morals in life and beyond. I am 16 years old, yes, young, but not too young enough to publish a book of my own. I was born on the 26thof November 1991 in Doha, Qatar. I spent my kindergarten and nursery in the United States, Alabama, New York and then went and settled in Cardiff, Britain for 3 years or so and then returned back to Qatar and continued my study here and here I am. I started writing since I was in grade 9, somehow and for some reason it became my passion to write a book of my own. I speak English as my second language, perfectly and currently studying French and Spanish but not yet fluent yet hopefully soon. My father is a lawyer and my mother is currently a teacher and I am the oldest in my family, I have one sister a year younger than me and three energetic brothers, Hamad, Omar and last but not least Faisal the youngest. On the summer of 2007 I went to a summer school program in Southampton, Britain, which helped me gain the confidence and self-assurance to get the self-esteem I needed for the start of my book. I take pleasure in reading books and spend the majority of my empty time speculating every book I could get my hands on, as it was my mother’s own passion in reading. I consider myself along with all the ones who know me as a calm sensitive yet smart person, I’m fun to be with, sociable and very kind, conservative also. I’m fairly inspirational and hope that this book would be the success of my life, knowing I’m young in age and there’s more to come.
