About the Book

It was the late 1970s and early 1980s when the author, Michelle Muirhead-Zodrow moved from a small town in Northwest Kansas to Arlington, Texas. There are not many things in life that will prepare you for the challenges or the emotional feelings that are experienced when such a life-altering change takes place in your life. The author used poetry to express her feelings and to connect her two very different worlds into one. This poetry collection includes the poems that she wrote during this time in her life. She has also included some poems that were written by her son, Austin, when he studied poetry in the seventh grade.

About the Author

Michelle Muirhead-Zodrow grew up in Northwest Kansas on a farm and started writing poetry in her early teens. She moved to Arlington, Texas when she was eighteen to attend Fashion College. She never gave up her dream to publish the poems she wrote earlier in her life.
