About the Book
Have you ever tended a herd of cows? Or mounted a horse to bring manure to your father working in the fields? Have you ever tried to catch river trout with your bare hands? Domenica Calabrese did these things when she was a child growing up in rural Italy in the 1950s and early 1960s. In The Most Beautiful Rose, read about those adventures and many more events, which shaped her most extraordinary childhood. Find out what it was like to leave your homeland and travel across a vast ocean to relocate in a new country, in a different continent. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you’ll learn a great deal about Italian culture. Numerous photos and a map, too! Domenica Calabrese Tedeschi wishes to donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of this book to L’Orfanatrofio di San Antonio, St. Anthony’s Orphanage, in Padua, Italy. And, she thanks you for your support.
