About the Book

This novel is a tale about Robin, who grew up and lived in Victoria BC Canada. When after graduation from high school, she moved to Texas to not only discover her talents as a chef, but also met the man she was meant for. Lee Cotton was a struggling musician who, with his band “Rocket Fuel”, eventually made their way to Country Music’s top performers. Follow Robin and Lee through the ups and downs of life on the road, life with friends, and encounters that always make Going Home the place they really need to be.

About the Author

This is the first published novel by Veronica J. The story behind this novel is as much a story as the novel itself. One particular “scene” in this novel was based on a dream that Veronica had one night and she couldn’t let go of. Not understanding why at the time, she began to put pen to paper to try to figure it all out. With no access to the internet, and the only resource material being a set of 1976 Encyclopedia’s, she began to write. Only to discover, at about Chapter 14, one night in a Country Bar, that the object of her dream was in fact now a reality. This life changing event has made her more aware to pay attention to what goes on around her and that sometimes you just have to believe in destiny. Veronica J lives in Victoria BC Canada, works full time, has one daughter she is very proud of and is flattered to be called “Stacy’s Mom”. She loves her friends, reading, yoga, the outdoors and being in the fresh air, and writing. Many more books are jumping around in her head that she can’t wait to get onto paper.
