It also delves into each individual's WWII experiences and what each one did after WWII to help build America into what it is today. Each chapter is loaded with emotions and humor.

How many other young men from other small towns across America have shared similar experiences? This book will appeal to all veterans as well as our young people and the public in general.

About the Author

Mr. Terrell grew up in a small town in Western Colorado during the Great Depression that began with the stock market crash in 1929. The economy did not recover until the start of World War Two. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps on July 7, 1943 and served as a crew member on a medium bomber during the war. After the war he returned from Europe and married his high school sweetheart on September 20, 1946. He operated his own business until 1952, at which time he went to work as a salesman for the Caterpillar Dealer in Colorado.

From 1952 until his retirement in 1984, Mr. Terrell held management positions with various Caterpillar dealers throughout the Pacific area, Europe and the Middle East. He became a modern Gulliver, having lived in thirteen foreign countries and worked and traveled in another seventy-eight countries over the next thirty-two years. Since his retirement he has remained active as a consultant in the construction industry as well as in the housing development industry. He also spent over two years researching and writing his book Heroes Among Us.
