About the Book

When a young child's birth home is deemed "unacceptable" she is placed in an adoptive home intended to provide nurture and safety. Instead, life soon became an unpredictable reality of fear, pain and negativity. With the innocence of childhood she strives to believe in good, longing for times of laughter and inspiration. Instead those moments fade away completely and her life becomes a confusing, hurtful existence only slightly softened by the efforts of some women in her life. This book chronicles the true-life story of Deborah's survival. She tells of her numerous efforts to find a better way, to overcome the negatives of her childhood, and discover the path that lead to her growth into a positive and loving woman. Join Deborah as she presents an inside glimpse of the tenacity and sometimes miraculous circumstances and choices required to "make it".
