About the Author
The author was born in Germany and immigrated to Canada as a twenty year old, seeking adventure and fortune. He became a successful electrical contractor until semi-retirement a few years ago. This affords him the time to write. He lives on Brome Lake in the beautiful Eastern Townships of Quebec with his wife of forty eight years and three cats. Writing has always been his passion. Writing and telling stories are pleasures he likes to share with children of all ages. Barnie, the Owl, created as a mascot for a Shrine Club in the Eastern Townships of Quebec, Canada, stimulated him to write about The Adventures of Barnie, the Owl, involving the three family cats and their hilarious adventures together. He hopes that reading these stories brings as much pleasure to the reader as he has had writing them. As a longtime member of the Shrine of North America he has been involved in serving children with physical disabilities. He dedicates these stories, not only to these children, but to all children.
