About the Book

Jake Meyer, a struggling attorney/private investigator and former special agent with the United States Treasury Department, is haunted by personal and professional tragedy. When he reluctantly returns to Zurich, Switzerland, where his demons were born, he begins a search for a long lost Pact, a secret land purchase between the Saudis and the Israelis, with help from Britain and the United States that could further enflame chaos in the Middle East and complicate the War on Terror. Standing in his way is a former Stasi operative, turned mercenary, who is hired by a cabal of multi-national corporations with a sinister interest in the secret agreement. His job is to find the Pact or to eliminate Meyer and any opposition. But Jake is aided by a highly experienced female Mossad agent who has recently returned to work after suffering her own loss. She is to protect and assist Jake at all costs as a matter of national security. Along the way Jake will suffer self-doubt and betrayals that impede his ability to find the Pact and exorcise his past demons. Yet, to save himself and the world from chaos and disaster, Jake will have to break through the walls and regain a measure of trust in other human beings.
