About the Book
From its onset of writing the previous manuscript, it was realized that acceptance of the contents would not be an immediate thing, for it touches on human frailties not easy for most of us to accept plus the difficulty our egos would have in changing habitual thought. It seemed imperative, however, that before we destroy ourselves completely there must be a greater realization of truths for the sake of future generations. We are in debt to them for our mistakes though some of these may have been necessary examples for overall progress purposes and that there are no answers to a greater universal plan or a perfect knowledge of most any one thing. It is most important to define the term traditional knowledge. Is the earth flat and are we the center of the universe? Of course not, yet we are prone to believe man made fantasies in a myriad of related things merely because of projected fears of an illusionary supernatural being. All this is relevant to inherited superstitions of pagan ancestors who created gods responsible for most of the natural causes experienced here on earth. This book along with the first one written deals with not only with negative reasoning factors in traditional mindsets but also provides positive keys of overcoming them.
About the Author
Raised a fundamentalist, where even the movies were forbidden/ WWII- enlisted in July 42, honorably discharged April 46. Of that time, almost 3 years on active sea duty covering 3 continents and 10 trips to and fro across the Atlantic escorting convoys. When in the 4th grade a question was asked of the teacher that he cold not answer and was told to shut up and just read what the book said. Later as a teen my curiosity got out of hand a few times in catechism class and am now deemed as a candidate for hell. Most answers sought , turned out to be ‘poop on the boots’ but being an avid reader I began exploring and poking around for logical explanations. Must have read several hundred books before a speed-reading course was taken to ‘cover more ground’. What was amazing is that some very good things would have made great news at the time of discovery, but for some odd reason they ‘fell through the cracks’ and were never retrieved. Was on numerous union negotiating committees but because of equality views, I was black balled a communist and never even read their books. Served multiple terms as Master of my Lodge unit and ditto as Secretary and Treasurer. It was here that free and relative thinking began to grow. Have three first try’s patents to my credit but never expanded on them. Wrote ten poems-most are copyrighted. Learned to play mountain dulcimer after retiring and recorded four songs that never made the top ten, all because Kenny Rogers and Anne Murray were evidently on vacation at the time and the only reason I can think of. Have written numerous opinions published in the local newspaper Delivered original discourse at lodge meetings. Roasted honorees at retirement parties, Attended several ship reunion banquets and rendered a few tall stories. To this point , life’s been fulfilling but always looking for one more fling.
