About the Author
After more than 60 years, the author still regards his three years in Kuwait as the highlight of an interesting life that included hard rock gold mining in Montana at age 12, hitchhiking through all the states West of the Mississippi by age 16, three seasons as an auto race announcer on the Midwest dirt track circuit. This was followed by five years service with the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II. After his Kuwait adventure he returned to school graduating with a BA in Political Science from George Pepperdine University at age 36. His next adventure was in Alaska where he served with the Federal Aviation Administration in various capacities from controller to public affairs officer for 22 years. He believes his major achievement in life was surviving the 20th Century. He lives with his wife Rheta, in Nevada.
