About the Book

The stories that are written in this book are inspired by some of the countries that I have visited. I got the idea when I visited Corfu. Some of the places which triggered off ideas for the stories e.g. Paleo, Mesongi, Kassiopi, etc. Other countries such as Tenerife, Austria and Portugal also gave me inspiration. Using different names which do exist, helped with the different subjects I chose for the stories. I hope that whoever reads them will enjoy them as much as I enjoyed writing them.

About the Author

Michael James Elves was born in London in nineteen forty nine. He finished his school days in nineteen sixty four not getting any higher than secondary modern. He started his working life training as a chef, not too long later he got married, he was nineteen. Soon after he moved to Wellingborough northants. He started to do oil painting, he realized he was reasonably good at it and started to study old masters. It was not too long before he started to have art exhibitions and still does to this day. He took an interest in writing after he wrote a story for his first grandchild Christian. There are a couple of stories in the book that he wrote with him in mind. Writing the book was an inspiration to write others. All of the illustrations in the published book he has done himself, avoiding making them too complicated and making them more simplistic.
