Cat – astrophy: The big black cat sat, Inside the local magician’s big black top hat. He was staring at the howling moon, this in his books could not come too soon. One wonders why the big reddish-yellow ball in the sky, Caught his beady little eye! So he sat in the hat, The local magician’s big black top hat. Being a curious cat about all kinds of facts, He thought about jumping over the moon and all such silly acts. His friends told him ‘No!’ Foolish cats know there is no way such acts will even go! Cats do not have wings, ‘So why do you want to fly?’ Cat rhymes with bat, But that is just that. So, one evening the big black cat sat in a tree, Then jumped over ‘the big full moon’ thinking it might make him free! Just like Jack – and – Jill, The big black cat’s fate was ill. Yes, he fell down, Nearly broke his crown. It is known that cats always land on their feet, But this big black cat will not attempt jumping the moon over, treating it with kitty-kitty feet!

About the Book
Combining her love for poetry and cats, in this book she created some lovely educational stories all about cats. Of course, being a children's book, the cute little stories are also valuable life lessons for young children. It covers topics like visits to the dentist; being afraid of the dark - and - the all imnportant art of sharing.
About the Author
Anne was born and raised in a small town in rural South Africa. Then "life and everything inbetween happened" - and - after serving in the police service for many years she came to some crossroads. At this time she decided to devote her time and energy to two of her big passions, being writing(poetry) - and - cats. Therefor this book, which will be the first of many, came to life.
