Matthew is so bored because of the rain; Super Caterpillar comes and saves Matt from the "Ho Hums." "Super"as he prefers to be called, shows Matt how keeping busy can make the day go by in a fun way. Together they clean his room, which makes Matt feel good and he knows his Mom will be pleased. Super Caterpillar saves a child who was playing by a drain in the rain water. About the Author

Author Jane S. Mix was born and raised in New Orleans. She graduated from the University of New Orleans with a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education and taught school in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana for 33 years. She taught 1st grade and Kindergarten. She is married to Morgan Mix. Morgan's dad, Richard, gave Jane the inspiraton for Super Caterpillar. On trips he would tell stories about Super Caterpillar. The children in the family were never bored on long road trips. After Richard's death, Jane started writing her own adventures for Super. Jane has two grown children and two dogs which have given her inspiration for her stories. Jane is retired from the classroom but enjoys story telling, reading, swimming, gardening and volunteering in the community.
