Love Wisdom is a must read for those craving an authentic and deep love inside of themselves while enhancing their relationships with others. South shows the reader ways to Break free from the Codependency Cycle as well as how to remove oneself from the pattern of feeling like a victim in the world. While discussing the Science of Love, South shares her study of clients whom have a history of sexual trauma and how the Love- Wisdom meditation increased dopamine, lowered depression and anxiety within participants in only three weeks using this meditation for fifteen minutes a day.
As a transpersonal psychologist, South informs the reader of the benefits of transforming core beliefs and how they drive the personality until they are transformed. She shares ways to do this, through personal stories, as well as, processes that bring the reader closer to the qualities of their Soul.
About the Author
Shannon is a holistic therapist, trainer, ordained minister, writer and mother. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, she assists clients in personal insight work helping them move from a fear-based existence to one of love and fullness in their lives.
Shannon's focus on Holistic Wellness began after her own healing experience from panic disorder and depression. Traditional therapy supported her until she experienced other unexpected, levels of healing through her Spirit. After these mystical experiences, Shannon focused on a variety of spiritual practices to support her healing. She specializes in trauma-based release work, transforming energetic patterns in the personality and creating lasting connections with the qualities of love, joy and peace. Shannon's approach includes Transpersonal (mind-body-Spirit) Psychology, bilateral eye stimulation, and holistic integration. The focus of her book, Love Wisdom: A Soul’s Journey to Wellness, is how to use one’s personality to reconnect to the love of their Soul.
Shannon is a poet, dancer, drummer and an avid lover of the outdoors. She has traveled in over ten different countries and trained in many different forms of meditation. She currently has a private practice in Asheville, NC and travels leading workshops and seminars. In 2005-2006 she was published in ISSEEM, International Society of Subtle Energies and Energy Medicine for her study on neurotransmitters, depression and anxiety and the Love- Wisdom Meditation shared within her book. She found that dopamine levels increased significantly when this meditation was used fifteen minutes a day for three weeks.
