The Little Dog Who Stopped Traffic

About the Book

This heartwarming story tells the tale of a little boy named Samuel, who really doesn't like shopping and a sleepy little dog searching for a warm patch of sunlight in the big city. They innocently come together, creating chaos, as they share a nap in the middle of a busy intersection! A kind homeless man and a determined policeman, keep the traffic at bay as Samuel and the little dog enjoy their nap in the sun, but… they aren’t the only ones! The policeman orders everyone to also take a little “relax time” and all the unhappy people in the cars, buses, trucks and taxis have no choice but to obey. At first the people don’t know what to do and then, they do relax. They play, they nap, they sing and they dance, amidst all the cars, buses, trucks and taxis. Eventually Samuel and the little dog wake up and the policeman announces the end of “relax time”, which saddens everyone, as they had forgotten where they were going in such a rush. The little dog comes to the rescue again and leads them all to a happy conclusion, transforming what people believed, at first, to be a disastrous day, into what they come to see, as a miraculous day. One in which a seemingly chance meeting between one little boy and a little dog, whose lives intersect briefly, creates a chain of events that inspires an entire city to remember what is truly important.

About the Author

Laurin Kyle Boyle lives in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada with her husband Dave. Laurin's passion is to inspire people to live life from their hearts and to experience the truth that only Love is real . Laurin holds a number of certifications in the area of Holistic wellness that include 7 Spiritual Laws of Yoga, Laughter Yoga, Yoga Kids, Heartmath Emotional Management, the Passion Test and is also an Ordained Spiritual Minster with Pathways of Light.
