About the Book
A joke book from legendary broadcaster Lynn Tolliver Jr!
This latest book by the author of the hilarious O.J. Simpson - The Official No Affiliation Reference Guide and Everybody Reads Lynn Tolliver, Jr, carries on entertaining, this time tickling our funny bones about the American way of life and especially about the funny way we talk. Just what do we mean when we use those commonplace expressions?
"I understand the founder of the word 'Ebonics' claims, though he speaks intelligently, he uses ebonics with his friends while playing golf," writes Lynn Tolliver in this book. "He said, 'We Be Git-N Down.' I think we be gittin' stupid. There are people who use 'drugs' with their friends, while doing whatever--does that make it right? We have sex and use profanity when we are with our 'friends', but should this happen in the classroom? Would you use ebonics in church, or during a business meeting? As we progress into the future, toward the millennium--should we regress in our communications with each other?"
