About the Book
From the early nineteen twenties to the middle sixties my experiences went from a kid with a wild mustang fresh off the desert, through the depression, building roads in early Alaska, fighting in World War II as a combat Glider Pilot, building a home and a life for my wife and four children, then trading the comforts of civilization for the rare lifestyle of homesteading in the wilderness. The struggle has been challenging but the result of Bobbie's (my wife) and my efforts have brought a contentment that we are thankful for. We would repeat our life for the same rewards.
