About the Book
This book will describe the change of a Vietnamese's life from the time he was born in a small town in Vietnam until he resettles in the United States of America. It will discuss the interesting diversities in the cultures and the ways of life in Vietnam and America, But also recognize that Vietnamese and Americans do have a common ground in pursuing happiness for the family.
It will give the reader insight into what ordinary Viatnamese thought about the Vietnam War. Vietnamese farmers (about eighty per cent of the population) who lived in the rural areas had to struggle between life and death every single day during the war. They did not care much about ideology, Communism or Capitalism. What they really cared about was the welfare of their families and above all, peace.
