Paula Ruttone was born and raised in 'Frogtown' (Elysian Valley) so named by
the locals because of a plague of frogs in the 1940s coming up from the nearby Los
Angeles River. She was brought up there in a teeny tiny little house in a neighborhood
that specializes in growing challenging eccentrics and determined individuals,
including herself, who march fiercely into life, each to the beat of an unseen drummer.
She is a published journalist and poet. She has studied Sociology, Psychology,
and Law. She has acted, written screenplays, worked as a publicist and entertainment
coordinator, as well as provides what she calls "Social P.R." for people who command
She continues to embrace cultures and diversity with an openness and
enthusiasm that is inspirational. Whatever beat this drummer is marching to, a lot of
motivated people are falling in behind her to share in the richness of this lady. I am
honored to be one of them.
