Escape is the word that Lea Vaun has lived with all through her neglected childhood and desolate teen years. She marries to escape her depressing life only to find herself in an abusive marriage that she wishes once again to escape. Now when she is finally on the brink of escaping all her troubles, and the promise of her dreams being fulfilled, she realizes she is literally fighting for her life in a house that refuses to let her go.
About the Author
Janet Burriss Meadows was born and reared in Vanceburg, Kentucky, and spent her childhood in the small town along the Ohio River. Along with published articles and short stories that she has to her credit, she has also made contributions of her material to other authors for fillers for their books.
She took an interest in writing at a very young age, and found an audience in her sister and brothers for her story telling. Later as a young housewife and mother her own children were willing listners. Occasionally in her busy life she found time to put her words on paper, but always limited her passion for writing to articles and short stories. It is only now after retiring that she has turned her attention to novel writing.
