About the Book
Echoes of Past Lives: True Hauntings of the South is a collection of experiences that the members of the Alabama Foundation for Paranormal Research have had on their excursions to various haunted sites. Every trip has had its surprises. Ghosts are curious entities ready to "show" themselves in ways that almost always catch the observers off guard. Sometimes they have entertained, and sometimes they have frightened, but every encounter has been a learning experience for the AFFPR Team.
In this book the AFFPR tell about a conversation with the spirit of an eight-year-old girl asking for help because she is "scared". They tell of "the meanest teacher in the school" who may still be calling roll long after the school is closed. And they tell of a battle supposedly finished 140 years ago that may still be in progress.
As the authors take you through their various ghostly encounters, it becomes quite obvious to the savvy reader that a multidisciplinary effort is required to know all we can know about these denizens of the shadow world. Physics, history and psychology as well as skills in photography, videography, and sound recording are all very much a part of a successful ghost hunt and a successful ghost find.
