About the Book

This book, sized 8.5x11 is coffee table size, and the cover photograph is of a Japanese Crabapple tree in Minnie Fortier's Vermont back yard. The poems are printed on one side of the page only, leaving room for remarks or additions on the back side of the page. The publishing of the book keeps a promise made to its principal author, Lillian Hanmer Peck Fortier, over fifty years ago. The scope of the poems illustrates the power of the mind to roam far from the only area and life style that Lillian ever knew.
