About the Author

Mark Stefanick grew up in a small farm town near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he was a marksman on his high school rifle team.

During college, he developed a "Career Volunteering" program for his fraternity. The program continued on campus even after he graduated with a degree in marketing. His career has seen a steady growth of responsibility from a customer service position, to a project management position, to maintaining a national non-profit Career Volunteering placement service for students.

He has helped match scores of student Career Volunteers with staff hungry non-profits through this national grassroots volunteer movement. His Non-profit public service announcement has aired in 16 major cities across the country.

Stefanick, a "Sometime Actor" on the feature film in production, Our Lady Of Sorrow (www.OurLadyOfSorrow.com), is now touring college campuses across the country, lecturing on the contents of his new book.

"A magnificent first! Our Lady of Sorrow will send people out into the world very frightened."
- Chuck Palahniuk (author of the novel then movie, FIGHT CLUB, starring Brad Pitt).
