About the Author

Francis Lambert was born in Chicago. He served in the 7th Infantry 32nd Regiment and fought in four battles - Attu, Kwajalein, Leyte and Okinawa. He spent 30 months overseas, and was wounded once. He received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star among others. He is married with two children.
