About the Author

This book from Eleanor Nunis comes from her own reflection on the ways life happens to us and the ways we respond and contribute to life. Her family life, her professional involvements in health and pastoral care, and her own life of faith and her participation with various community groups, all combine to give her an insight into this complexity of 'being alive'.

She has listened well to other people's stories of their journeys through life and illness, suffering and puzzlement, and in her own struggle with leukaemia in 1993 has found, with them, wisdom, consolation and hope.

Since this book was published, Eleanor has received a new heart and a new lease of life!
