About the Author
Anne Dunphy started writing in 1995. She lives in Ireland and is a member of the Irish Writers' Union, Irish Playwrights and Screenwriters' Guild, PEN, Filmbase, Dublin, Cork and Galway Film Centres. She has won a number of short story competitions and has had several published. She has also published features in the Irish Times and the Irish Press and has had radio plays done by RTE, CKR and MidWest Radio. She has written and recorded "Thought for the Day" for RTE. She had a play produced by the Prairie Dog Theatre Company in Chicago May 2001. It was subsequently performed in Milwaukee. Second Chances is her first novel.
Anne's first movie, Space Raiders, will be shot in April, and premiered at the Cork Film Festival in the Autumn before a truly international audience, as Cork is the cultural capital of Europe this year.

This book is for people of all ages but especially those who have lived through the fifties and sixties, who may have yearned for freedom and independence in a world which didn't encourage either.
