This is Lee Heide's seventh book to be published and his second volume of short stories about Senior Citizens. Raised in Vancouver, he joined the RCAF in 1941, trained as a navigator and completed two tours of operations with RAF Squadrons in the Middle East on Beaufort and Beaufighters. Returning to Canada in 1945, with an English bride, he accepted a permanent commission in the RCAF and served a total of 23 years. At the age of 59, having published several stories and articles, Lee retired when he had "Just enough to pay the mortgage and food", to write full-time. He now lives in Brentwood Bay, near Victoria.
