About the Book

Max, the computer wizard, born in Germany of Egyptian parentage, feels that the American-British invasion on Iraq is a mistake. He comes across an Al-Qaeda recruitment notice and knows what to do. Once with Al-Qaeda he cracks a few bank software files in Mindanao and extracts a lot of money for Al-Qaeda.

With his pencil-sharp computer knowledge he helps his boss go after bigger fish until he ends up in very deep Al-Qaeda waters. Several terrorist hits are planned for Christmas 2004 which Max steers in the right direction with his computers.

All is not as straight forward as it looks. After a while Max gets disillusioned with Islam and the Muslim world and he decides to go in the opposite direction. With his love for computers he creates an impregnable cyber life that Al-Qaeda cannot penetrate. In chapter 15 he has a brief encounter with a beautiful female that changes his life.

He puts the female out of his mind because Al-Qaeda is building a nuclear reprocessing plant in Mindanao. Through his previous contacts Max hacks into the plant and discovers what they are doing. He knows they must take action. The world has never been in a situation like this before. In the end, Al-Qaeda is practically wiped out. Osama bin Laden issues orders for Max to be assassinated, but things go wrong. Max ends up a very lonely man because his lady friend dies in a car crash.

About the Author

Swiss-born Schlittler worked in the hotel business all his life. In this business he travelled around the world non-stop and got to know all kinds of people. In a world where the guests are always right, Schlittler became flexible, pliable, mouldable and lithe. With this book he is suddenly taking you away from a comfortable hotel ambiance and making you go down a slippery road full of mystery, anxiety, danger and false hopes. Schlittler likes to toy with the possible and the impossible and draws a thin line where his characters can still exist. Schlittler went to Asian in the mid 70's where he worked as General Manager in six different locations. Presently, his biggest enjoyment comes when he can work on the birth of a new plot with new characters who must first learn how to crawl. Schlittler is sixty-one years old. He live is Singapore with his Singaporean wife and daughter and looks forward to every new day that brings him new challenges and unravels new mysteries.
