Mary is my beloved daughter. She committed herself to writing down the stories of my life from innumerable hours of tape-recorded interviews with me.
Mary has a Bachelor of Arts degree from McMaster University, and a Master of Divinity degree from McMaster Divinity College.
She has been a teacher, pastoral minister, and spiritual director of a Quaker Retreat Centre. Mary is the creator of "Calm Cards," "The Pocket Problem Solver," and an adult/children's book, The Gift Agreement (1988), offering a solution to war. She has authored two books of poetry, A Voice of the Heart (1992), and Outside In(1996), and co-written a stage musical, "Mamahuhu", which opened in London, England in 1992. In 1999 she wrote Aunt Mary's Woodstove Cookbook; and in 2002 her book, Jogging Through Space: Sixty Pathways to Feeling Better was published.
Mary is currently researching and writing.
A Canadian, she has just recently moved back to Ontario from Virginia with her teacher-husband, David.
