About the Book
A political unknown is elected U.S. president. He
abolishes, by presidential executive order, the Democratic
and Republican parties and chooses his administrative
officers by putting several well-qualified candidates' names
in a fishbowl and drawing a name from the bowl. This
is his effort to make his administration an American
administration, comprised of ex-Democrats, Republicans
and ethnic groups. It cannot be said that this new President
is partial to one group of people.
