About the Book
Kate Ferguson goes out to the Turks and Caicos Islands in the Caribbean, taking over her late husband's job overseeing the construction of a hotel on one of the smaller islands in the group. Jack Ferguson drowned in unexplained circumstances on the island some months before, and Kate is anxious to find out what really happened. She feels she cannot really trust any of the senior site personnel, and is further confounded when the darkly mysterious and charismatic Charlie Hudson is suddenly assigned as her deputy, as it transpires that he knows little of either building techniques or the hotel trade.
As her enquiries into Jack's death lead her into danger, she becomes more than ever convinced that his death was no accident, and determines to find out the truth, whatever the cost. But she hadn't reckoned with the growing attraction she feels for Charlie Hudson, in spite of her recent widowhood, and fighting her feelings becomes almost as important as solving the mystery of Jack's death.
About the Author
I live in an old quarryman's cottage in a picturesque part of North Wales. The cottage had bare stone walls and dirt floors when I moved in with my three children following my divorce. Together we refurbished it, transforming it into what is now a comfortable, cosy home. Before my marriage, I was in the Merchant Navy, working for the British India line as a Purser, and have travelled widely.
I have been writing as a hobby for years, but didn't get down to it seriously until I was made redundant three years ago. I have now written six novels (improving as I go, I hope.) Getting published in this day and age, if you are not famous for something else, is virtually impossible, (I could fill a book with rejection notes!) and after scouring the web for prospective publishers I eventually came across Trafford Publishing and decided to publish Walking the Line with them. It is my fifth book and I have since written a sequel to it and started on a third book in the series. If Walking the Line has any success, I intend to publish Crossing the Line and Line of Fire at a later date. Watch this space!
