About the Book

Mandy was a four-year-old Afro-American child when her single Mother died suddenly, leaving no next of kin; through unusual circumstances, she was adopted by an elderly Caucasian couple and raised in a loving home. Mandy was an eager student, successful at any challenge that confronted her; she was a joy to her parents; she encountered racial problems through the years but they never seemed to phase her, her thoughts were, just something to contend with! One person who was a big influence on Mandy was her roommate at college who led her to Christ; life seemed to take on a new meaning for her, the direction of her education changed. She would face the most enormous challenge of her life, come journey through her extraordinary life as a missionary in the rain forest of Brazil.

Paul was a handsome young Portuguese Minister, born in Brazil to illiterate farmers; he obtained his education through hard work, perseverance and sacrifice. He would be chosen by God for a special role in life, you will admire him.

About the Author

Barbara Blanchard Wetzler is retired, living in Shallotte, N.C. which is located on the southeastern coast; she was born and raised in Thomaston, Ct. As a single Mother, she raised four children in the area then in 1971 re-located to Florida to be married; this is her first novel, look for her second in this series by the end of the year, which takes place in the Philippine Islands.
