About the Book

An evil, monstrous presence waited for Carol Banning in the basement of her home. Its hate for Carol was irrational, but nevertheless dangerous. Carol's admirer, Kenneth Keith, sensed the presence when he entered her house. After years of heartaches and loneliness, Carol has to suffer the haunting of her beloved home and is finally driven into the waiting arms of Ken, who has loved her for years. The reason for the ghost's hatred and the final resolution through Carol's bravery will be a surprise for all.

About the Author

Shirley Hughes-Winslow is a former native Californian who now resides in Gardendale, Texas in order to be near her children.

She has also written a children's book titled Silly Seal and Friends: Guardians of the Sea, and has written some articles for the California Hiway Patrol Magazine and a story titled "Farewell Little Sarah" published by Cat-Tale Press.

The Haunting of Carol Banning is her first novel and she is now working on a sequel to that book.
