About the Book

A B2 Bomber, piloted by the son of one of the top Mormon leaders, accidentally crashes into the Salt Lake Temple of the Mormon Church killing all but two of the key leaders of that church. The youngest and the newest of the top leaders is not present at the time of the disaster, and is left to put the church back together.

Related sub-plots and topics include: the problem of evil, how top Mormon leaders are selected, attempts by apostate groups to take over the church, the killing of the wife of the surviving Apostle, the role of his mother-in-law in helping him in his struggle and subtly guiding his remarriage.

About the Author

Charles Manley Brown was born in Canada on November 1921. He received his early education in Salt Lake City and secondary education in London England.

He married Vivienne Grace Browns in the Salt Lake Temple in 1944, and after four years as a co-pilot with American Airlines, earned degrees from Glendale California Community College, the University of Utah and the University of Southern California where for thirty years he was a Professor of Education.

Upon his retirement in 1985, he and his wife moved to St. George, Utah, where he has served as Board member of the Southwest Symphony, President of the Southwest Guild for the performing arts, Board Member of the Celebrity Concert series, Secretary of the Bloomington Hills Home Owners Association, and as a volunteer at Dixie Care and Share. His wife, Grace, a talented organist, accompanist and organizer, has been just as active as Charles in both community and Church.

His church service has included Member of the Sunday School General Board, Bishop, Counselor in a Stake Presidency, Temple ordinance worker and State Patriarch.

The Browns are the parents of five children with 28 grandchildren and 31 (and counting) great-grandchildren.
