About the Book

Teeth Marks is a collection of poems that spring from the examined life of the seeker, bow to the mystery of human relationship and flirt with the fierceness and reverence of Mother Nature. These poems are expressions of the dance between shadow and light, masculine and feminine, the predator and the prey, the serious and silly within us and around us.

About the Author

Steven Robert McCord tried to grow up in New York during the 1960's and ran from the constrictions of conformity straight into a prison of rebellion. Lyric Spirits began moving his pen in 1976 during preparation for his journey to the West Coast. Amid a scintillating succession of life refining experiences, Steve emerged a teacher and healer in the field of Addiction Medicine as well as a student of Yoga.

Poetry and communion with nature endure as vital elixirs to his soul. "Beneath the trees, the poet within comes alive. I connect with my roots, my primal ancestry and the unfolding creation of the Supreme Artisan. A mystical tension between past and future grounds me in the perfect eternal now. Nature both connects me with my true nature and soothes the wild beast in me and for that I love her!"
