About the Book
In a faraway land there exists the village kingdom of Squatland. The people of Squatland are short and plump. The Great Crystal, that powers the Kingdom is growing dim. King Grunnion secures the help of a gnome living under the castle. This gnome called Filo the Fixer and his companion Buddie the Wortdog create a machine to rotate the crystal back to life. But no one in Squatland is big enough to operate the machine. King Grunnion sends his son on a quest to find a giant.
About the Author
Bob Johnson is a product of the public schools of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and considers himself a late bloomer. After serving in the United States Army, and several forgettable jobs, he completed college at the age of 31. Bob taught high school Art and Crafts, and Speech/Theatre in California. The author of several plays, one of which won national recognition from the Bravo Television channel, Bob is also an artist and painter and has won many awards for his work. He was selected the "San Diego County Teacher of the Year" in 1992.
Bob enjoys traveling and camping with his wife Marge and dog Tahoe. He sings in a barbershop quartet, and resides in the beautiful Rainbow Valley of California.
