About the Author
Born in Providence, Rhode Island in 1948, in 1956 her family migrated west to Colorado in a 1955 Plymouth. This journey inspired many of the visions that plagued Sam Dodd during his adventure west.
Sam's character was loosely based on a neighbor living behind her first home in Colorado.
During the "Cold War", this individual isolated his family from the neighbors after building a bomb shelter in his back yard.
Spending most of her youth and adult life in Colorado where she met and married her life long soul mate Raymond Otstot, and raised their daughter Dawn. Lorraine had a 30-year career in retail advertising.
Having the attention span of a two-year-old, no project held her attention long. Alas, that is why it took over 18 years to complete this story. It was written. . .re-written and edited many times over through hundreds of sleepless nights lying in bed. Writing has become a salvation to this hopeless insomniac.
