Windows To A Soul

About the Book

This book was written at a time in my life when I had many troubles and heartaches, when I was completely beside myself and when I needed guidance, direction and love. I blamed God for everything. How could He allow all this to happen to me. I became so angry with God one rainy day that I shouted at Him. Then I realized that this was really a prayer, and that for the first time instead of formal prayer, I had openly and honestly shared with Him all my thoughts and my feelings. At that very moment He created a beautiful rainbow in the sky as a sign of a His love and as a promise of a brighter future. That moment began a beautiful new friendship, not with “Someone up there” but Someone right here walking beside me and dwelling within my heart and soul. I began to “talk” to my new friend the way you and I talk to a human friend. Then one day when my mind was wandering and I could not focus on prayer, I decided to write a letter to God. To my surprise, answers to pleas and praise appeared on the paper. I felt compelled, daily, to write a letter to Jesus. My writings were so inspired that my pen could barely keep pace with my thoughts. The pages became many. Although it had not been my intention to write a book, it became evident that this was Jesus’ plan. I received much love and healing through the words that flowed through my thoughts and spilled onto the written page. I believe that God wants to speak to each of you and He used me as His instrument, as an example that you too can communicate with the Father in a very personal way. He invites all to an intimate friendship with Himself. Be open and accepting.

Meditate on the “reading” of the day from “Windows To A Soul” as God’s words of wisdom and guidance inspire and impart warm feelings of love, peace, hope and security.

He desires to speak to your heart too. Spend a few minutes of quiet time with Him every day. Read His letters to you. Reflect on Jesus’ words.

About the Author

Carolee Merrigan was born and raised in a rural town in northern New Jersey. After marrying, she resided in Pennsylvania before moving to New England where she lived for ten years, eventually moving to the Jersey Shore with her two young children to be near family and friends. Ms. Merrigan became a member of the St. Barnabas Separated, Divorced and Window Ministry at her local parish in Bayville, New Jersey. She found the support ministry very healing in her time of crisis. Because of her commitment to help others heal, she has been a facilitator for the ministry for the past twenty years and was a member of the Beginning Experience team for ten tears. Ms. Merrigan attended prayer group meetings, the Life in the Spirit Seminar, became a member of the choir and is currently a daily communicant of a St. John’s Catholic Church in Lakehurst. New Jersey.  

Life presented many difficult times for Carolee, but prayer was consoling and became an important part of her daily life. Being inspired to write letters to God, she was surprised to receive inspired answers. These letters became an instrument of communication and meditation, thus resulting in this book. It is her hope that through the pages of Windows To  A Soul: A Daily Inspired Dialogue With Jesus, its readers will communicate with Jesus in this very personal way and realize that it is not only possible to have our Savior for a friend, but it is also His will.  He loves all His children.
