About the Book
For seniors only: a new book on the market for you! Written by Dottie B. who has done a “heap o’ living” in her 87 years. All of her years were meaningful and she has gleaned much in the living of them. She is no “fly-by-night” and tells it like she sees it is. Each of her 31 chapters came about by personal experience, study and, or probing. She can “back up” every word she wrote. Try it. You will like it.
About the Author
Dottie B. was born one year before WWI ended; and twelve years before the Great Depression. She is third oldest of eight children. Her father never lost his job because of those hard times but the family lived “from payday to payday” for many years. Dottie owned only one pair of shoes and they were not replaced until there was a hole in the soles at least the size of a quarter. She also wore holes in those shoes at the end of her big toe. It was a big day for her when she got a new pair of shoes. Nevertheless, Dottie B. had a good life. When there are eight children and plenty of food on the table, life is good, (her mother was a great cook). She remembers the good times. She married at twenty three. Had four children, (two boys, two girls), moved to San Antonio, Texas and continued her good life there. She owned and operated a private kindergarten for twenty years, (San Antonio had no public kindergartens during those years). She worked in her church and chaired several projects there. Dottie B. was, is and always will be a very small person. She is four feet ten inches tall and weighs slightly over one hundred pounds. She says herself, “I may be little, but I’m mighty”. She has lots of pep and is a great “doer”. No job is too big.
