About the Book

This is a poetic look at the life of the average teen raging from ages 14-20. The poems are written in date order to add a story telling feel to it. The books ultimate goal is to help young people understand their feelings better and to show adults the capable thoughts of the young mind.

About the Author

Hello to everyone that reads what is written upon these pages. Let it be known that I was not born on this land named America, I was born on Cuba on the month of September, the 11th day of the year 1982. I came to this country at the young age of 5. I began writing at the age of 14 when I first experienced love in my heart. My first poem was written in Spanish for I wanted it to be of my native tongue. I later wrote its English version, which is posted in this book. The title is "the day I met you". That was the start of a long line of writings as I found myself expressing myself through the pen. I expressed my experiences and emotions from my young age of 14 to the age of 20. I wrote this book with the hope of young people reading it; and understanding through writing their own emotions. Also for the parents of these young people to understand that just because one is of the young age does not mean they cannot have adult feelings or thoughts. And though this book ends my writing continues just as life continues. I wish the best to all who read.
