About the Book

"How Ironic! I'm just like this little do," thought Jamie, "a stray abandoned by her owners!"

Abandoned... the word stuck in her mind as if glued there with super glue. Jamie could not tear it away. She had seen children and animals on TV that had been left behind. Her heart had always gone out to them. Never had she imagined that she could be one of those children. No, she would not be displayed on TV or anywhere else. Jamie and the puppy were both survivors - all by themselves. Well not anymore... now they were together.

About the Author

Debbie Mills was born and raised in Lima, Ohio. She graduated from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. Currently, she is a public elementary school teacher in Burlington, North Carolina. Debbie loves animals and has always had special dogs in her life. Kelsie in this story is based on her very own white German Shepard.
