Classical political economy was forged in the same furnaces that spawned the Industrial Revolution. Globalization is the beginning of the end of industrialization, the completion of the Industrial Revolution, the long-awaited development of the undeveloped and underdeveloped world. This fulfillment of the industrial revolution brings that revolution full circle. The world has turned along with the wheels of industry, and socio-economic institutions have been transformed. To understand the ideas and practices of industrialization it is necessary to return to the principles of classical political economy – principles that are ultimately derived from the same source as the Industrial Revoution.
