About the Book
Josephine Asher is a devout young teacher born and raised in New Canaan, Connecticut, dedicated to her family and committed to the students she teaches. Through a devastating turn of events she is transported back in time and finds herself imprisoned in the underground dungeons that run the length of ancient Egypt. Her attire has her mistaken for a young boy which, nearly costs her life.
Through a twist of fate, one of her own ancestors, the great and mighty Vizier of all Egypt, holds her life in his hands and, by his own unselfish compassion, saves and protects her as a kinswoman in his own, high ranking household from all those that seek her demise and raises her up to a woman of standing before Pharaoh. Under his protection, she learns about a forgiveness that surpasses human understanding. A divine forgiveness that molds her into a stronger, more understanding woman. A woman who finds love in a land far from her own home, from her own time and from all those that love her.
