About the Book

Millie Sue and Her Friends uses one animal from each of the five groups of vertebrates, and an accompanying verse, to encourage children to feel better about themselves and their perceived shortcomings. It reassures them that they will grow up to be just fine. The final verse helps to remind us that all earth's creatures need to have respect and a place to grow.

About the Author

Carleen Schomberg lives in her native town of Los Gatos, California. She is a former 8th grade science teacher who spent many weekends camping and hiking with her students. She has also done curriculum development, taught cooking, and taught classes on water conservation and pollution prevention. She is married to her high school sweetheart and has two children and two grandchildren.
