About the Book

Jock the little yellow tow truck has many stories to tell about the adventures he and his friends have had. In this first book, Jock finds that on more than one occasion he and his rival Bob have to work together to help rescue stranded cars. Meanwhile, back at the yard, Henry waits patiently for John to bring him cars to crush.

About the Author

Thomas Wotherspoon was born in February 1964. On leaving school at the age of 16, he gained an apprenticeship as a panel beater at the local body shop. He served his time here and also made his first contact with tow trucks. All his working life has been spent around cars and trucks. Several years ago, Thomas decided to take the plunge and set up his own recovery business.

Over the years the business has gone from strength to strength and continues to grow today. The recovery world has proved a very interesting and adventurous one and Thomas has many stories to tell. He decided to put some of the most common causes of avoidable accidents into children's books with the aim of educating young children in the hope that as they grow up, silly motoring mistakes will be avoided, thus reducing accidents and making our roads a slightly safer place.
