About the Book
In The Venice Apartment and Other Stories, a painter, a singer and a student read the soul level of a distant self, other people and times in music, art, and architecture centuries old. A mother and son break with their past, held in the vial of an ancient amulet, and broken figures, long dead, leave the memory of loss and desire in old places of residence, where new occupants and travelers passing through learn lessons about power, possession and freedom. Love, death and art are intimately bound up together in this collection of metaphysical love stories that capture the elusive element in relationships and in the creative lives of artists and truth-seekers.
