About the Author

Dr. Martie Kramer is a psychologist in aviation. Psychology is the science of human behavior in any place, and Dr. Martie Kramer decided to study the manifestations of conduct as occurring aboard airplanes. She had the great opportunity to work as an air crew member while she was doing research from 1980 to 1992. Dr. Kramer has been traveling around the world and studying human behavior during more than five thousand hours aboard airplanes, registered with FAA (Federal Aviation Administration). She had been working in direct contact face to face aboard airplanes trying to help passengers to relieve tension when they are traveling. In 1988 she was elected Miss International Airline as the best representative of air crew members in an international airline event by the most important newspapers around the globe. In 1992 she conducted a research about fear of death in air crashes. She explained the different human reactions in response to emergency situations aboard airplanes, and why passengers have a continuous mental connection between airplanes and the possibility to die aboard them.

As the result of her research and experience over the years in Psychology applied to aviation, in 1992 she started to elaborate training facilites and workshops for understanding travel behavior.

In 1993 she organized the presentation of the international seminar: Psychology and Leisure Travel around America.

This seminar emphasizes an awareness to traveler's perceptions, personalities, attitudes and other psychological factors.

In 1994 she became a writer for magazines and newspapers. Her articles gave many solutions and tips for frequent travelers to enjoy their flights. Also in 1994 NASA recognized her research for the future travelers in space.

Many passengers around the world had the opportunity to read these articles which were aboard international airlines. She is well known as the writer of the column "Good News for frequent Travelers"

Psychologist Kramer has been conducting public speaking in conferences and seminars in several tourism and air travel presentations in many countries, presenting her Program: Flight-Relax

Her research is actually unique in the field of psychology in aviation.

In 1995 Dr. Martie Kramer decided to write all the flight-tips from her research in this: MAX Traveler's Planner. This is the result of an air-travel international research of a psychologist who studied behavior with more than three hundred thousand passengers flying around the world, and this book is the best self-prescription that any traveler must have.

There is no price for the feeling of peace of mind and the sensation of being able to control the fear and anxiety cause by traveling aboard airplanes.
