Shanny's Mom enrolls her in Driver's Education much to the surprise of the instructor. She studies very hard every day, pays attention in class and does her homework. Her hard effort pays off when she passes her driver's test at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. Now that Shanny has earned her driver's license you can look forward to regular Shanny storues. Young children will enjoy the illustrations of Sabine Wolfe. She has done a delightful job depicting the story through her drawings.

About the Author

Laura Michaels is a life long dog lover and owner. In her youth she owned a Miniature Pinscher, Toy Poodle, Dalmatian and two Shetland Sheepdogs.

Her love of the Labrador Retriever began in 1974 when her first Lab, Satin, entered her life. They went on to earn several obedience and tracking titles.

Since then, Laura and her dogs have participated in obedience, agility, field, conformation, therapy dog work, tracking, public education and nursing home visits. She has taught conformation classes, beginner field classes, beginner obedience classes and is a Canine Good Citizen (CGC) evaluator.

Laura is one of the founding members of the Huron River Labrador Retriever Club. She is a member of the Labrador Retriever Club, Inc. (USA), a past member in good standing of the Labrador Retriever Club of Canada, the Showmen Dog Training Club and also the Dog Sports Club of Genesee County.

Laura lives near Flint, Michigan with her dogs and a horse. Shanny has her own website at www.shannymonster.com.
